Cajun- Style Blackened Tilapia.

Easy is the name of the game.

Have I annoyed you yet about my giveaway?(<<<link) Don't forget to enter to get free stuff! I have finally given in to coupon-ing. It makes sense since I'm on a budget but I just don't really like it. Everyday our mailbox is full of newspaper ads for the grocery store and local department stores, what a waste of paper. Starting last week, I have officially begun looking at the rainbow one, just in case I am already purchasing that item. The reason I don't coupon is because I feel like I purchase things that I don't actually need. Well there was a good one for tilapia, hence this recipe. The fish was spicy and flaky  with a beautiful crust. It also couldn't have been any easier, especially because there was minimal dishes.

Cajun- Style Blackened Tilapia

What you need:
- 4 Tilapia fillets
- 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray. In a small bowl, mix together all spices. Rinse and dry fish with a paper towel. Sprinkle both sides of the fillets with the spice mixture and place in sprayed baking dish. Drizzle a small amount of oil on top of fish and bake for 15 minutes.

I served the fish with baked tomato cups, recipe to come tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!
